Passport application and renewalPassports applications for British nationals resident in France are managed by the Passport Processing Centre in Paris. A passport may be renewed up to nine months before it expires. There is a fee due for the application process and for the return of the passport by courier. Renewal can be expected to take up to four weeks, while the issue of a "first-time" passport may take up to six weeks. Application forms can be downloaded from the website; the correct form depends on the passport being applied for.
