The Lyon-Bron airport is used for general aviation since commercial airline traffic was moved to Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport in 1975.

Saint-Etienne Airport

L'Aéroport de Saint-Etienne is mainly used for charter flights and low cost flights within France and to European and North African destination. There is also a flying club for both theory and practical flying lessons.

Roanne-Renaison airport, in the Loire department, is undergoing renovations in order to comply with civil aviation laws for commercial flights (January 2010).

Valence-Chabeuil airport in the Drôme is not open for commercial airline services. It is used for business travel and aircraft can be rented. There is also a flight school.
